Bruce Lee vs Bruce Lee

This short film was made by AMDS FIlms and cleverly cuts footage together of Bruce form Way of the Dragon and other small snippets to show him fighting himself.

It demonstrates a sense of power and I think explores that theme of self-improvement, always fighting against yourself, which was one of Bruce Lee’s big lessons – the art of Self Actualisation. It has a touching ending which shows us the effect of Bruce’s efforts to the world.  It has a bit of an afterlife feel to it.

It is a smart use of modern day software to bring a classic icon to life in a new way. The guys behind this really were really clever in how they put this one together.

Bruce Lee playing Ping Pong

I always get a laugh when I hear people talking about how Bruce Lee played ping pong with nunchucks.

This short film was actually made by Nokia years ago as one of their promos and was made to look old and authentic. It’s still a nice tribute to the man himself 🙂

Bruce Lee – Saber-chucks

Fans of Star Wars and Bruce may enjoy this one – the combination of Bruce’s Nun-chuck  fight in Fist of Fury and the lightsaber effect of your typical Jedi vs Sith fight in Star Wars.

It’s pretty well done and make for an entertaining short.  If only Star Wars has such authentic martial arts action!

Donnie Yen vs Bruce Lee: A Warrior’s Dream

This short film shows a true passing of the torch from Bruce Lee to Donnie Yen in a 3D animated film  which not only does an excellent job at catching their likeness, but replicating their actual martial arts performances.

This film showcases a fight between a fan and an icon that can be considered an unofficial mentor to Donnie Yen – a massive Bruce Lee fan himself. A lot of work went into this one and it turned out pretty damn good.

Meet the Afgan Bruce Lee

In Afghanistan there’s a young man named Abbas Alizada, who inspires people by emulating his hero, the legendary Bruce Lee.  It’s cool to hear that Bruce’s influence has reached this corner of the Earth!

This is less fan film and more a film about a fan, but I felt it was worthy of mention here.

Johnny Walker – Game Changer

This Johnny Walker Commercial is a bit controversial to fans as it shows Bruce promoting Alcohol, despite Bruce being strictly a non-drinker.

However, the message and blend of live footage, a live actor and the 3d animated face of Bruce is excellent and worth watching if you’ve never seen it before.  So check this one out and make up your own mind!

Ryusei “Ryuji” Imai

This kid is amazing!

You may have seen him before, but Ryusei is a keen Bruce Lee fan who has all of the movements perfectly timed and rehearsed down to the finest details. If you’re wondering if Bruce Lee’s influence is still alive today, then this kid is proof that it is!

Got a suggestion?

If you do, I urge you to share it as I’d love to see more myself. As with most of my posts, I enjoy keeping them up to date so I may add them at a later date.

I hope you enjoyed these videos. Have a an awesome day and see you next time!
